J. S. Bach - Partita 5

This is a keyboard score of J. S. Bach’s Partita 5, BWV 829, based on the first complete edition published in 1731. This score was edited and engraved by Dr. Dominic Florence, and is presented without fingering or other editorial additions to preserve the original intentions of the composer.

J. S. Bach’s partitas are some of his most popular and rewarding pieces. They are made of dance movements inspired by various European traditions. This score is the fifth partita, which is in G major. The suite is lively, charming, and technically difficult in only a few sections. Finding the appropriate tempo for the each dance is important for a successful performance.
